The 9th annual Nate Chute Hawaiian Classic is coming up March 22 and 23. In memory of our dear friend Nate Chute, the event is always a great time for everyone to gather and remember Nate's passion for snowboarding and friends. There are 2 days of competition with a boarder cross and a banked slalom. There is a cash purse for the pros and great prizes for the amateurs. To celebrate the 60th Anniversary of the Big Mountain now Whitefish Mountain Resort Stumptown is offering 1/2 price ski and snowboard rentals on Saturday and Sunday Dec 15 and 16. We are located right in the village with 2 hour parking in front of us. Our rentals are kept in premium condition and we can accomodate the first timer to the expert. We have equipment to fit the youngest of skiers and snowboarders. Our rentals do not perform like rentals! Let our friendly, qualified staff set you up for a great day on the hill.

The 1/2 Pipe Jam Session will follow the Banked Slalom on Saturday during the Nate Chute Hawaiin Classic. The Superpipe is open and this will be a fun event for everyone to test out their skills and hang out with new and old friends. There will be a $5 charge which will go into a pot to be split amongst the crowd favorites at the end of the session.

Come prove you worth at the 7th Annual Nate Chute Hawaiian Classic at the Big Mountain. This Competition features a Bordercross and a Banked Slalom and attracts a large amount of locals and former locals from all over.

The competition is held in memory of Nate Chute. Nate was a well known snowboarder on Big Mountain. A portion of the proceeds go to the Nate Chute Memorial fund which provides help to local teens and adolescents during times of need.
